ENVIRONMENTAL POWER STATIONS RUNNING BY HOUSEHOLD WASTE WITHOUT SORTING.

European countries are increasingly harnessing green and cost-effective energy through waste-to-energy power plants strategically located within the communities they serve. Sweden, with its population of only 11 million citizens, boasts 29 such plants serving 98 municipalities. These plants play a significant role in Sweden's energy landscape, providing 80 percent of its heat and 20 percent of its electricity. What sets these waste-to-energy plants apart is their integration within the communities they serve, irrespective of their affluence. This approach underscores a commitment to sustainability and equitable access to clean energy resources, marking a noteworthy advancement in green energy infrastructure.

SOLAR ENERGY POWER STATION

Harnessing the power of the sun for generating electricity has been a recent advancement, despite humanity's long history of using sunlight for drying clothes and food. The sun, located 150 million kilometres away, emits an astonishing amount of energy. Even the small fraction of sunlight that reaches the Earth (about a hundredth of a millionth of a percent) is more than sufficient to meet our power needs multiple times over. Remarkably, every minute, the energy that arrives from the sun could satisfy our energy demands for an entire year, if we could harness it effectively. This highlights the immense potential of solar energy as a clean and renewable source of power for the future.

WATER ENERGY POWER STATION

Water power stations operate under specific conditions: there must be a significant height difference in tides (several meters), and a bay must be present that can be enclosed with a dam. As tidal water enters the bay, it drives the turbines positioned within the dam, generating electricity. When the tide recedes, the water flows out, further powering the turbines. These power stations can produce up to 240 megawatts of electricity and are highly environmentally friendly, as they do not require the diversion of water and do not disrupt local ecosystems or communities. At EIG, we lead the supply of water power stations, promoting this environmentally friendly solution to its fullest potential.
